How to Install APKTime on Firestick & Android TV/Google TV

I will now show you how to install this app on Firestick, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Television, or Android TV/Google TV devices.

Examples of Android TV/Google TV devices include Chromecast with Google TV, Onn. Google TV 4K Streaming Box, NVIDIA Shield, MECOOL Android TV/Google TV Streaming Devices, Xiaomi Mi Boxes Running Android TV/Google TV.

In this instance, I am using a Fire TV Stick 4K Max.

I will be installing APKTime on Firestick with a free application called Downloader available for installation on Fire TV and Android TV devices.

Since the Amazon Fire TV Stick is an Android-based system, the same installation process applies to Android TV & Google TV devices as well.

Step 1: Prepare Your Streaming Device

1. From the home screen of your device, hover over the Find button and then click the Search box.

2. Search for and select Downloader.

3. Choose the Downloader app.

4. Click Download.

5. Wait for the app to install.

6. Once the app finishes installing, click Open.

7. Return to the home screen and open Settings.

8. Click My Fire TV.

9. Choose Developer options*

IMPORTANT: Please see the notes below if you don’t see Developer Options on your screen.

10. Click Install unknown apps.

11. Find the Downloader app and click it.

12. This will turn Unknown Sources to On for the Downloader app. This will enable side-loading on your device.

Developer Options Not Available

If you are unable to locate developer options within settings, follow the instructions below to enable this to use the Downloader App.

1. Hover over the Settings icon and click My Fire TV.

2. Click About.

Note: Notice Developer Options is missing.

3. Hover over Fire TV Stick and click the OK button on your remote 7 times to become a developer.

4. Click the back button on your remote. You will now notice that Developer Options are showing within My Fire TV.

Now that I’ve properly prepared my system, it’s time to install the app on Firestick, Android TV, or any other media device.

Step 2: Sideload APKTime on Firestick & Android TV/Google TV

1. Launch Downloader.

2. Hover over the URL bar and click the select button on your remote to open the keyboard.

3. Type the Downloader Code for the TROYPOINT Toolbox, which is 250931, and click Go.

4. You will then see a redirect page.

5. This will bring you to the TROYPOINT Toolbox home screen.

6. Scroll down to find APKTime and click Download.

7. Wait for download to complete.

8. Click Install.

9. Click Done.

10. Delete the installation file.

11. Confirm Delete.

12. Click Apps button on Firestick home page menu.

13. Highlight APKTime and click it to launch the app.

14. The app will launch for use.

How to Move to Firestick Home Page

If you use APKTime often, you may want to add it to your Firestick home screen.

Here’s an easy method to achieve that.

1. Click the Firestick Apps button.

2. Highlight the app and press the menu button on the Firestick remote.

3. Click Move.

4. Use arrows on Firestick remote to place the app in the desired location. Click the OK button on your remote to drop it into place.

5. The app is now available on your Firestick home screen.
