ACE DMCA Subpoenas – Official Document

ACE released an official press release regarding this shutdown. In it, they stated:

“This month’s [DMCA subpoena] round targets 29 domains. This includes the hugely popular ssphim.net, which garnered over 40M visits. This total is from February 2021 through February of this year. Also included is watchmovierulz.co, which received over 25M visits during the same period. The primary sources of visitors for these two domains were Vietnam and India, respectively.

It appears the ongoing struggle with streaming website shutdowns will persist. It’s a constant game of whack-a-mole.

Further investigation has revealed several “mirrors” of these domains. These mirrors are also being targeted by ACE.

This isn’t the first instance of copyright authorities like ACE releasing such lists. They’ve previously identified piracy websites and services on their radar.

Will Users of these Pirate Sites be Contacted?

It remains unclear what’s happening behind the scenes with ACE’s latest DMCA subpoenas.

In the past, pirate website operators have been known to cooperate with authorities. Under investigation, they’ve handed over user data, including streaming history and IP addresses. There have also been instances of them selling this valuable information to outside parties.

It’s crucial to stream only content that is not protected by copyright. Protecting yourself with a VPN is also highly recommended.
