BuzzTV Gen 5 Buyer’s Guide

Here is a list of the current BuzzTV Gen 5 models available for purchase.

I’m currently using the new BuzzTV Classic Edition in the video tutorials provided below. Keep in mind that the videos are relevant to all Gen 5 devices as they run the same operating system. The differences among the devices lie in the hardware specifications, remote controls, and PVR options they come with.

Every individual has their own specific requirements when it comes to streaming devices.

First, if you heavily rely on Netflix and wish to use these devices for that purpose, it’s important to note that they are not Netflix certified. This means they may not support playback in maximum HD resolution. BuzzTV Android TV Boxes are tailored for those who utilize IPTV Services and free streaming apps like Kodi, Syncler, FilmPlus, etc.

If you plan on recording on this device, it is recommended to opt for a model with at least 32GB of internal storage. Recording to internal storage is more preferable than using a USB, as it tends to have fewer issues. You will also find more information below about PVR+ and regular PVR, which is crucial if you intend to record frequently.

It’s also advisable to choose a BuzzTV model that includes a Bluetooth remote rather than an IR one. Bluetooth remotes offer better responsiveness, and you don’t need to point them directly at the box.

Please note that although the new BuzzTV Classic doesn’t appear in this chart, it does come with a Bluetooth remote (BT-250).
