We’re thrilled to share that Downloader for Android TV is now out. It’s conveniently located in the Google Play store.
This free and popular application is a favorite on Fire TV devices. It’s currently a top seller on Amazon, holding the #7 spot! Now, you can enjoy its convenience on your Android TV devices, too.
If you have a device like the NVIDIA SHIELD (original), the 2019 NVIDIA SHIELD Stick, the 2019 NVIDIA SHIELD TV PRO, a Mi Box, or any other system that uses the actual Android TV operating system. Then you have the option to sideload apps using Downloader. It is a very easy-to-use application.
Please be aware that this particular app isn’t in the Google Play Store for the typical Android TV Boxes. Those usually run stock Android. But no worries, there’s an easy fix. Just navigate to your browser on those devices to sideload applications directly.

Currently, when you use the search term “downloader” in Google Play on Android TV, the app might not appear at the top of the search results right away.
To quickly find it, try searching for “troypoint” or “downloader by troypoint“. You should see the application listed prominently.
As more people discover and use this application. It’s highly probable that a simple search for “downloader” will bring it up easily in the future.
