Google TV has made an addition of over 800 Free Live Channels that are now available directly from the home screen. This new feature was introduced by Google through a blog post on the Google TV Official Website, highlighting it as “a new live TV experience that lets you browse more than 800 free TV channels across multiple providers, organized in one easy-to-use guide”.
These channels are now conveniently accessible from the home screen of your Google TV device, integrated directly into the Live Tab. Users of Google TV may already be familiar with the Live Tab, which previously featured various channels from Pluto TV for live streaming.
With this latest update, the Live Tab now includes channels from multiple sources such as Tubi, Plex, and Haystack News, providing a wide range of live channels. This integration brings news & local channels like NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX, in addition to programming available in over 10 different languages.
These free channels are easily accessible without the need to open separate applications. Users who subscribe to an IPTV service like fubo, YouTube, Sling TV, and others can also integrate these channels within the live tab for a comprehensive streaming experience.
This update is currently rolling out to all Google TV devices, including Smart TVs with Google TV built-in from Sony, TCL, Hisense, and Philips. Owners of Chromecast with Google TV can expect this new feature to become available on their devices soon.
