This guide will help you resolve the “This audio format AC3 is not supported” error. We’ll walk you through the process, so you can get back to enjoying your content.
Many users encounter this issue when they combine MX Player with free streaming apps. Examples include apps like Terrarium TV. The video plays without a hitch, but the sound is missing. It’s a frustrating problem, but we have a solution.
It’s worth noting that this issue doesn’t impact every video. It specifically affects those using AC3 audio.
This error happens because the default MX Player codec doesn’t support AC3 audio. A codec is simply a program that handles the compression and decompression of digital audio files. You need a specific codec for each audio format.
To resolve this, you’ll need to install a different codec in MX Player. One that has AC3 audio support.
If the tutorial below doesn’t resolve the issue, you might have an outdated version of MX Player. I’ve created a shortcut to the latest stable release, available at https://iptvproviders.info/mx. Use this link with apps like Downloader or ES File Explorer to easily install the updated MX Player.
