Install Kodi on Firestick – Fastest Method

STEP 1: Install the free Downloader App
The Downloader app offers the simplest method of installing Kodi on the Fire TV Stick.
1. Hover over the Find icon and click on the Search box to access the keyboard.
2. Search for and select Downloader.
3. Choose the Downloader app.
4. Click Download or Get.
5. Wait for the app to install.
6. You will then come across a message that says Downloader Ready to launch!.
STEP 2: Turn on Unknown Sources
We need to enable unknown sources to install Kodi since it’s not accessible in the Amazon App Store.
1. Go back to the home screen, hover over Settings, and select My Fire TV.
2. Select Developer Options.
IMPORTANT: If Developer Options are not visible on your screen, please refer to the notes below.
3. Click on Install unknown apps.
4. Locate the Downloader app and open it.
5. This will enable Unknown Sources for the Downloader app and allow side-loading on your device.
Developer Options Not Available
If you are unable to find the developer options in settings, follow the steps below to activate them for using the Downloader App.
1. Hover over the Settings icon and select My Fire TV.
2. Select About.
Note: If you notice that Developer Options is not there, follow the next steps.
3. Hover over Fire TV Stick and click the OK button on your remote 7 times to activate the developer mode.
4.Click the back button on your remote to reveal the Developer Options within My Fire TV. After that, you can proceed to the next step, which is to Install Kodi on Firestick. In this step, you’ll be installing Kodi on your Fire TV Stick using the Downloader application.
To begin, launch the Downloader App, then hover over the URL Bar and click the select button on your remote. Next, type the Downloader Code for the TROYPOINT Toolbox, which is 250931, and click Go. Upon encountering a Redirect Page, you will be directed to the TROYPOINT Toolbox home screen. Scroll down to find your preferred version of Kodi and click Download (Kodi 21 Omega is the latest stable release).
You also have the option to select Kodi 21 Omega, which is currently version RC 2 (Release Candidate 2). One great reason to use the TROYPOINT Toolbox for Kodi installation on Firestick is because of the TROYPOINT Kodi Fork. Another popular method for installing Kodi on Firestick is through the Unlinked app store.
Follow the quick steps below to install Kodi through the Unlinked app store on a Fire TV Stick.
1. Launch the Downloader app on your Fire TV Stick and tap the search box.

Prepare Fire TV Stick for Kodi Update
The first thing you want to do is determine whether a Kodi update is currently available for a Fire TV Stick.
Here are the necessary steps to see what version you are running.
Check Kodi Version Info
1. Click gear icon in Kodi.
2. Select System Information.
3. Look at Version info: Build.
In the example above, I know that there is an update available because the current stable version is 21 Omega.
Change to Estuary Skin if Using a Build Prior to Updating Kodi
It’s important to switch to the default skin in Kodi if you are using a Kodi Build.
If you don’t do this you may encounter a black screen within Kodi following an update.
All builds are different but the same settings can be accessed by finding the System menu and then Interface settings.
Continuing the process, click System, select Interface, click the current skin that you are using, choose the default Estuary skin, and click yes to confirm changes. You are now back to the default skin and ready to update Kodi on your Fire TV Stick.

Downloader App
Below is a step-by-step guide on updating Kodi on Firestick using the free Downloader application.
1. Install Downloader and enable Unknown Sources in your device settings.
If you have not done this yet, please refer to the guide provided How to Install Downloader & Enable Unknown Sources.
2. Launch Downloader.
3. Click the URL box to open the virtual keyboard.
4. Enter the Downloader Code for the TROYPOINT Toolbox, which is 250931, and click Go.
5. Wait for the redirect screen to load.
6. The Toolbox will now load.
7. Use the down arrow on your remote to locate the stable release of Kodi. Click the Download button.
8. Wait for the updated Kodi app to finish downloading on Firestick.
9. If you wish to install an update for this application, your existing data will remain intact. Click Install.
10. Once the App installed screen appears, click the Done button.
11. Click Delete to remove the installation file.
12. Click Delete again to confirm.
13. You can now launch Kodi. A message saying “Preparing for first run” will appear since it’s a new version.
