Chromecast with Google TV Complete Review
The term “jailbreak a Chromecast with Google TV” involves lifting restrictions imposed by the manufacturer (Google) to enable 3rd party app installations.
Technically, we aren’t modifying the device’s firmware; thus, the term “jailbreaking” is loosely used based on user searches and relevance.
When unlocking devices like phones or tablets, modified firmware installation is often necessary.
Firmware acts as the device’s operating system. Luckily, with Chromecast, this step is unnecessary!
After jailbreaking Chromecast with Google TV, you can install apps outside the Google Play Store, opening the door to more content options.
This access allows for a variety of free content, including movies, TV shows, live channels, PPV, games, and sports.
