This guide explains how to remotely control various devices. These include a Firestick, Android TV Box, phone, or tablet, all from a remote location.
To control your Amazon Firestick or Fire TV remotely, you can utilize a tool known as Vysor. It’s a very effective method.
Vysor is a software that you can download to your desktop. It’s compatible with all operating systems – Windows, Mac, and Linux.
With Vysor, you can control your Firestick/Fire TV. You can also control your Android TV Box, phone, or tablet from anywhere with an internet connection. It’s incredibly convenient.
Vysor is also compatible with iOS devices, which is a great plus.
This method is different from screen mirroring and other Firestick remote alternatives. This is because remote access control can be done from outside your local network.

I’m using an Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite paired with a Windows PC for this demonstration.
Just a heads-up: Vysor works with Windows, Mac, Linux, and even directly in your browser.
To control your Firestick remotely, you’ll need to download the Vysor app on both your computer and your Firestick.
1. Go to the Vysor Website and hit that Download button.
2. Choose your operating system from the options provided. I’m going with Windows for this guide.
3. If you’re running Windows Defender, you might see a security prompt. Don’t worry, the software is safe. Just click Run anyway to proceed.
4. Once Vysor is done downloading, click Allow access to grant it the necessary permissions.
5. The Vysor app will then open up on your Windows PC. From there, click Connect Network or Shared Device to start the connection process.
6. You’ll see that you need to enter a Network Address to connect. This is simply your Fire TV’s IP Address, which you can find in its settings.
7. Turn on your Firestick or Fire TV. Navigate to the settings icon and select My Fire TV.
8. Click on Developer Options to access some advanced settings.
9. Ensure that the ADB debugging option is toggled ON. This allows Vysor to communicate with your Firestick.
10. Select the back button. Then proceed to select About.
11. Find Network. Hover over it and take note of your Firestick’s IP Address.
12. Go back to Vysor. Enter the IP Address you noted in the previous step and click Connect.
13. Look at the green box. You’ll see that an Android device (your Firestick) is connected to Vysor. Next, click the play icon. This will start a prompt for remote Local Area Network access from your Windows PC.
14. You have now established remote access! You can control any Firestick, Fire TV, or Android TV Box through your computer within your local network.
15. To grant access to your device from outside of your network, locate the share button in Vysor. Give it a click.
16. Vysor automatically copies the share link to your clipboard. Now you can send that link via email to whomever you’d like to give access.
17. The recipient of the email can then copy the link.
18. Open the Vysor app. Click on Connect Network or Shared Device.
19. Paste the Vysor link from Step #17 into the appropriate field.
20. Finalize the connection by clicking Connect.
