This guide will walk you through the steps to install Kodi on your iPhone or iPad.
Kodi is a media streaming application. It’s free and available on virtually every operating system.
Think of this home media hub as your central command for playing and streaming your stored media. You can easily access all your content in one convenient spot.
Kodi stands out because it’s user-friendly, has a customizable interface, and boasts unlimited add-ons and builds that won’t cost you a dime. The best part? It’s incredibly easy to use, no matter your tech skills.

What is Kodi? Everything You Need To Know
With the Kodi app for iPhone or iPad, you can enjoy this free media center even when you’re away from home. It’s the perfect way to take your entertainment on the go.
However, there’s a catch. Unlike Android devices, which offer Kodi through the Google Play Store, Apple doesn’t make this application readily available.
Since the Kodi app is absent from the App Store, we’ll have to resort to a third-party app store for installation. Don’t worry, it’s a simple process.
You’ll find countless tutorials online explaining how to install Kodi on iOS using a computer or a jailbroken phone. But the method outlined here requires neither of those. Plus, it takes less than 5 minutes to complete, which is a bonus.
Whenever you’re setting up or using Kodi, TROYPOINT strongly advises utilizing a VPN. This is an important step for protecting your privacy.
When you install a VPN on your Kodi device, you encrypt your internet traffic. This step makes it impossible for your Internet Service Provider and other prying eyes to track what you’re doing online. It adds an extra layer of security and peace of mind.

Kodi for iPhone or iPad Installation
Since Kodi is not available on the App Store, we’ll need an installer to get the job done. For this, we suggest using TweakBox, a third-party app installer.
TweakBox is highly recommended because it offers a wide variety of apps not found in the Apple App Store. One of its standout features, Flash Apps, is what we’ll be using to install Kodi. It’s a seamless way to access apps that Apple doesn’t officially offer.
But TweakBox is more than just an app installer. It also lets you download premium apps, apps that are still in beta, modified apps with extra features, and even cracked versions of popular games. It’s like a treasure trove of apps, many of which are paid apps that TweakBox offers for free.
Do you have to jailbreak your iPhone or iPad to use TweakBox? Absolutely not! It’s designed to work on all sorts of iPhones, iPads, and iPods, and even on Android devices. The only requirement for Apple devices is that they run at least iOS 7.
In this demonstration, I’m using an iPhone XS running iOS version 12.1.2. But rest assured, these instructions will work flawlessly on other iOS versions and devices, including iPads. You can follow along regardless of your specific device.
It’s worth noting that currently, Kodi 17.6 Krypton is the only version available for installation through TweakBox. Keep that in mind as you proceed.
Ready to get started? Follow these steps to install Kodi on your iPhone or iPad. It’s easier than you think.

What’s a Kodi Skin?
You can change how your Kodi interface looks by changing its skin. Kodi version 17 was released a while back. Since then, the default skins installed are Estuary or Estouchy. Estouchy is specifically designed for touchscreen devices, which can be really useful when using Kodi for iPhone or iPad.
Many think that Estouchy is a clone of Estuary. However, Estouchy has a better look and feel to its interface. Here are some advantages it has over other skins:
- It displays more information on one screen.
- It has a more organized layout.
- It’s easier to access add-ons.
- It has better resolution.
- It’s easy to customize.
Not sure if your Kodi skin is set to Estouchy? Just follow the steps below to check.
Step 1
Go ahead and launch Kodi.
Step 2
Next, tap the Settings icon .
Step 3
Then, tap Interface.
Step 4
Tap Skin > Skin. This will show you the Skin name. You can see in this example that the default skin is already Estouchy.
Step 5
If it isn’t
If it’s not already set to Estouchy, tap the name that’s currently there. Then, tap Estouchy in the window that pops up.
You might want to try a different skin. If so, you have other options to choose from. Just follow these steps to select a new skin.
Step 6
Go ahead and click Get more….
Step 7
Simply tap on the skin you’d like to use.
Step 8
The installation process will then start. When you see the question Keep skin? or Would you like to keep this change?, tap Yes.
And that’s it – your installation is complete.

Kodi on iOS Extras
When you install TweakBox on your iPhone or iPad, you get access to a huge collection of apps that you won’t find in the Apple App Store. This includes emulators, games, and even paid apps, all completely free.
TweakBox is considered one of the Best Tweaked Apps Stores and it’s great for installing all kinds of streaming apps.
If you’re having trouble installing Kodi using the guide above, try AppValley instead. It’s very similar to TweakBox with the advantages we mentioned earlier, plus it offers two different versions of Kodi depending on your device.
Important Note: If you notice that Kodi stops working after a while, I recommend installing the NoThx App from within TweakBox.
You can find it right on the main screen in the Apps menu. NoThx helps prevent revokes, so Kodi and other third-party apps can keep running without interruption.
It’s worth noting that it might not work on every device and it’s not the most foolproof method for revoke protection.
