Kodi 19.2 was released recently, just a few weeks ago. Typically, we don’t see updates this frequently.
The Kodi team released a statement about this quick turnaround.
We understand that 19.2 was just released, and some of you might still be waiting to update. But the need for a new build is closely tied to this. The Xbox release presented some hurdles. Also, some other issues surfaced that we felt needed attention. Rather than focusing on platform-specific point releases, we decided to move straight to 19.3.
Important – TROYPOINT hasn’t yet tested Kodi 19.3 with commonly used add-ons and builds.
Version 19 introduces a new addon system. This also applies to 19.3.
Keep in mind that not all addons are compatible with version 19 just yet. But we do have a current list of addons and builds that work.
These should also be compatible with Kodi 19.3.

Kodi 19.3 Fixes, and Updates
- The Xbox release has been challenging due to platform-specific requirements for 4k/HEVC playback. With the help of @CelesAtXbox, we believe we’ve addressed these issues to meet Microsoft’s standards, allowing for release in the Windows Store. We’re grateful for their assistance!
- There’s a problem with an expired certificate for version 18.9 on Xbox. This makes new installations on that platform impossible. This update fixes that issue.
- A persistent Atmos audio bug has affected platforms supporting TrueHD passthrough. We’re aware it’s been annoying for a while. We’ve now successfully resolved it.
- Airplay functionality was disrupted by an unintentional bug in 19.2, which we have now corrected.
- A couple of gaming-related problems have been fixed. These include a controller issue and some shader problems on Retroplayer.
- We fixed a bug that affected the display of thumbnails for watched episodes when the “hide episode spoilers” option was selected.
- The metadata displayed in Linux app stores has been significantly improved.
