Kodi 19.4 has been officially released. It is now the stable version of the software. This article highlights the updates and changes in Kodi 19.4, taken directly from the official Kodi Website.
You can download the newest version using the links below. Alternatively, you can learn how to update. If your Kodi is currently running smoothly, we suggest that you don’t update.
Unfortunately, Kodi 19.4 will not be available in the Google Play Store for Android TV boxes, phones, or tablets. If you are using an Android system, you’ll need to update manually. This can be done directly through the TROYPOINT Rapid App Installer.
Here’s a statement from the Kodi team about updating to Kodi 19.4 on Android.
Please be aware that we cannot currently offer this update through the Google Play Store. Google has a new requirement. It mandates that apps target API level 30 (Android 11) as a minimum. Kodi, however, targets API level 29 (Android 10).
Therefore, we are unable to upload 19.4 to the Play Store, though 19.3 will still be accessible. For those who desire the new release, 19.4 can be downloaded from our servers and installed manually.
Because Kodi 19.4 is unavailable in Google Play for Android users, we have created a new video tutorial. We’ve also created a screenshot guide showing how to update to this new version on those devices.
We demonstrate how to update Android TV systems, phones, and tablets running Kodi.
Important – Note that TROYPOINT has not tested Kodi 19.4 with popular add-ons and builds.
This release doesn’t include any significant new features, only bug fixes. Many users won’t perceive any change when using Kodi 19.4. Unless a fixed bug detailed below has been affecting you.
Below, you’ll find the bug fixes pulled directly from the official Kodi Website.
