leanback launcher

This guide provides a comprehensive walkthrough on installing the Leanback Launcher. Learn how to enhance your Firestick/Android interface.

The Leanback Launcher is a custom launcher. It was created by Tsynik and modifies the standard user interface on Amazon Fire TV devices.

There’s been a growing demand for more content about custom launchers, particularly after the Wolf Launcher tutorial.

If you’re familiar with custom launchers, you might’ve used the popular ATV Launcher previously. You may have used it on your Android TV Boxes.

The Leanback Launcher is gaining traction as a preferred alternative to the default Fire TV interface. There are several reasons for this shift.

Many users express dissatisfaction with Amazon’s latest Fire TV Interface, which rolled out in late 2020. Adopting a custom launcher provides a way to personalize your interface without any risk to your device.

The Leanback Launcher showcases your side-loaded apps. It also removes Amazon’s sponsored content, offers enhanced customization, and provides various other benefits.

This launcher is a key solution featured in our guide on Blocking Ads on Firestick.

This custom launcher performs exceptionally well on various devices. These include the Amazon Firestick, Fire TV, Fire TV Cube and others.

VERY IMPORTANT: If you want to revert to the original Firestick interface, you must first enable the stock launcher. DO NOT delete the app. Deletion might lead to losing your User Interface entirely.

If this happens, your device will need a factory reset. To perform this, press and hold the right-down button and back button together for at least 10 seconds:
