Just last week, we reported that ACE shut down Afdah. Now it seems Lookmovie was also a primary target for them.
A few months ago, ACE/MPA suspended the “.io” domains of Lookmovie and other streaming sites.
Lookmovie had previously encountered similar issues. It reacted quickly by switching to new domains.
Reports indicated that Lookmovie switched to a “.to” domain. They were then accused of copyright infringement.
Check out the image below. Taken from the ACE’s official subpoena document, it sheds light on the situation.
Take a look at this statement from Jan van Voorn, ACE’s Executive Vice President.
“The attached subpoena requires you to disclose information to the Motion Picture Association, Inc. This is done on behalf of the ACE Members.
You must provide enough information to identify the individuals responsible for the infringement. This includes things like names, physical addresses, IP addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, payment details, account updates, and account history.”
It seems likely ACE is talking about the people running Lookmovie. We can assume they mean them when they say “infringers.” However, it’s not entirely clear.
For more details, refer to the official subpoena below.
Here’s an interesting detail. The domain “lookmovie2.to” is still up and running.
It appears that the cycle of shutting down streaming websites will persist. This “whack-a-mole” game is likely to keep going.
We did some digging and uncovered a few other Lookmovie “mirrors”.
Copyright authorities have previously made public their watchlists. Lists of piracy websites and services that are on their radar have been released in the past.

Will Lookmovie Users Be Contacted?
It’s not clear what will happen next regarding Lookmovie. What’s going on behind the scenes with this latest targeting is uncertain.
In the past, we’ve observed pirate website operators handing over user data. When investigated by authorities, they’ve been known to disclose streaming history and IP addresses. They might also sell this valuable information to other parties.
It’s crucial to stay safe. Make sure you’re only streaming content that isn’t protected by copyright. Consider safeguarding yourself with a VPN.
