The Paramount Plus App is officially available for installation on your favorite device. ViacomCBS announced the new service in January of 2021, with the official launch occurring on March 4, 2021.
This all-new Streaming App is a rebrand of Viacom’s popular CBS All Access application. Users will find tons of new content including Paramount Originals, Live News, Sports, and more.
In a continuing trend of streaming services emerging, Paramount Plus looks to compete with similar options such as HBO Max, Peacock, and Disney+.
Users will find content from popular networks such as CBS, BET, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, MTV, and more. This makes the app a great choice for all ages with Movies and TV Shows for the whole family.
The app will be available for installation on tons of various devices, including the Amazon Firestick, which is the most popular device available today.

Users have the option to pay $5/ month for the “Base” tier that will include ads or $10/month for the ad-free option. CBS All Access customers paid $6/month or $60 annually for the service that included ads or $10 a month/$100 annually without ads.
This is comparable to most streaming services that fall somewhere in the $5-10/month price range.

The Paramount Plus app will take the place of CBS All Access and is available for installation on tons of streaming devices. This includes:

Install Paramount+ on Firestick/Fire TV

1. From the home screen, hover over Find and click Search.
2. Type in “Paramount Plus” and select the option from the dropdown menu.
3. Choose Paramount+ under Apps & Subscriptions.
4. Click Get.
5. Wait a few seconds for the app to install. Then click Open or return back to the home screen.
6. Launch Paramount+ from your list of apps.
7. Paramount+ will launch.
8. That’s it! You have installed Paramount Plus on your Firestick/Fire TV.

Install Paramount+ on Chromecast with Google TV
Use the following step-by-step guide to install Paramount+ on the Chromecast with Google TV or any Android TV device.
If using an Android TV device like the NVIDIA Shield, MECOOL Box, or Tivo Stream 4K, you can find Paramount+ within the Google Play Store.

1. From the home screen, hover over and click Search.
2. Type in “paramount+” and click the search icon.
3. Click Install.
4. Wait for Paramount+ to install. Then click Open or return to your device home screen.
5. Locate and choose Paramount+ from the home screen under Your Apps.
6. The app will launch.
7. You have successfully installed Paramount Plus on your Chromecast with Google TV.
Install Paramount+ on Roku
Use the steps below to install Paramount+ on any Roku device. In this example, we are using the Roku Streaming Stick+.
1. From the home screen, hover over and click Search.
2. Type in “paramount” within the search box.
3. Click Paramount Plus.
4. Select Add channel.
5. Click OK.
6. Locate and select the Paramount+ app from your Home screen.
7. The app will launch.
8. You have successfully installed Paramount Plus on your Roku device.

In a move similar to Warner Bros & HBO Max, ViacomCBS plans to release new movies on the app within 30-45 days of their theatrical release.

This means users can skip the trip to the theater and enjoy brand new movies from home using only a Paramount+ subscription.
With over 30,000 episodes, 2500 movies, and much more available in its library, there is no shortage of content for viewing.
One of Paramount’s greatest features in this new service is the live streaming options accessible from the application.
Because CBS is home to tons of live sports, subscribers will be able to stream the NFL, PGA Tour, NCAA Football & Basketball, and more.
