It seems another IPTV software player has been removed from the Google Play Store. Just last week the popular app, Perfect Player, was taken down. It’s also unavailable in the Amazon App Store.
IPTV services and accessories have been facing a lot of scrutiny recently. IPTV Smarters was recently removed from Google Play for the third time in a few years.
It’s important to understand that these IPTV players don’t actually host any channels. Many find their removal from app stores perplexing, to say the least.
According to a TorrentFreak report, the developer of Perfect Player commented on the removal.
“They claimed to own ‘Premier’ channels and demanded we stop transmitting them. I explained that the app doesn’t contain channels or any content,”
“They then sent another email with a screenshot, proving they could watch their channels in the app.”
Perfect Player allows users to add their IPTV service. However, it doesn’t have any content itself. It can also be used for various other purposes.
With the recent crackdown on the Xtream Codes IPTV system, live TV providers and players have been under scrutiny. Authorities and others are paying close attention.
If you’re an IPTV user who still wants to install Perfect Player, you can side-load it. You can find the installation guide here:

Currently, there’s no information on when the app might return to Google Play.
