Sapphire Secure IPTV is among the top IPTV services out there. It’s a popular choice for many people.
However, as of Sunday, February 7th, 2021, Sapphire Secure has experienced some issues. It appears to have stopped working for many users.
We’ve been getting questions about this. Here’s what we’ve gathered so far about the situation.
It looks like Sapphire Secure was targeted by hackers. They are demanding a ransom in Bitcoin to resolve the issue.
Earlier today, the official Sapphire Secure Website displayed a message. Let’s take a look at what it said.
Down for Maintenance (Err 3)
Sapphirescure.net was unfortunately hacked!!!
Your IPTV provider from [location redacted] didn’t secure your information properly. This has put you at significant risk. All databases will be given to the police and copyright agencies. They will also be posted online very soon.
[Name redacted] still has a chance to protect his customers and himself. There are two ways he can do this; it’s his decision to make and depends on how much he cares about his customer’s data.
The first option is to pay 2BTC to 19SHpjhm3uCCfwRSzj1BcumEQnFsURQn9x. Once received, we will provide him with information about his security vulnerabilities. We’ll also give him a copy of the database if he needs a backup. This amount is less than 2 weeks of his income, so it’s a very reasonable offer. Keep in mind, he has stolen massive amounts of money from broadcasters. The content he steals is not given away for free, he profits from it, so we’re essentially stealing from a thief.
The second option is for him to shut down his operation (permanently, not just change the name). If he does this, we won’t leak the data as mentioned above. However, we would require that all remaining customer subscriptions are refunded. This situation is not their fault.
He has 12 hours to decide. Let’s see if he values his customers or just their money. We are certain this message will be deleted. If we don’t receive payment, a copy will be emailed to every customer.
At the time of this post, the Sapphire Secure IPTV Website is offline. The message above has been removed.
This situation mirrors what happened last year. Multiple IPTV services were targeted by the same type of hack and ransom request. It really highlights the importance of using a VPN for IPTV for added security. A VPN can help protect your information and privacy.
We are uncertain about the future of Sapphire Secure. The situation is still unfolding.
Currently, Sapphire Secure seems to be working fine for some. However, users can’t access the billing panel to renew or get technical help.
This, unfortunately, is a risk you take when using unverified IPTV services. Unverified simply means the service isn’t available through official app stores like Amazon or Google Play. You can’t easily download them from trusted sources.
Most unverified services need to be sideloaded onto your streaming device. This is because they are not available in reputable app stores. Sideloading carries its own set of risks.
If you’re looking for options, you can check out our list of the best verified and unverified services using the link below. We’ve compiled a list of reputable options.
We also have a detailed guide about the legality of IPTV. It’s got everything you should know before you start streaming. You can find it at the link below.

TROYPOINT has always advised using an anonymous email and Bitcoin when possible. This is particularly important when signing up for unverified services like Sapphire Secure. Taking these steps helps protect your personal information. It can prevent developers or hackers from accessing it.
Statement from Sapphire Secure IPTV
Since the shutdown, Sapphire Secure has released a statement. You can find it on the home page of their website. Here’s what they said:
As many of you know, our website has been down for over a week. This is due to a cyber-attack that got into our network. We want to assure everyone that we’ve taken steps to protect your personal information. We’ve taken this matter very seriously.
This attack is part of a series of attacks against similar companies. These have been happening over the last two years. We deal with DDOS attacks daily. However, this particular attack was able to bypass our defenses, exploit vulnerabilities, and inject harmful code into our core software. This software is what provides service to most of our customers. We’ve been working non-stop to restore service. However, it’s still down, and we’re unsure when or if it will be back up. We’re doing everything we can.
If your service is still working, consider yourself fortunate. Your service is running from a few small backup servers that weren’t affected. These servers were not compromised in the attack.
For those without service, please use the form below to submit a ticket. You can request a refund if you need it. Alternatively, let us know if you’d like to be contacted if we can restore the service in the future. We know many of you without service will switch providers. We want to thank you for being loyal customers. We appreciate your support.
When we started our service, we aimed to provide a low-cost option. We wanted to cater to customers who couldn’t afford or chose not to pay the high fees charged by the big companies. Our company operated on very slim profit margins. Some months there was no profit at all. We did this to keep costs low for our clients. This recent attack has been devastating, both to our network and morale. We’re unsure if we can continue. As mentioned, if you’re one of the few with service still working, you’ll receive an email from us. We’ll let you know if we’ll continue the service and how things might change for your account in the future.
Thank you again for all the love and support during this challenging time. We appreciate your understanding.
Sincerely, the Sapphire Team.
