SuperBOX Android TV Box Review – Lifetime IPTV Subscription Included

SuperBOX

SuperBOX has reached out to me on several occasions. They want me to promote their Android TV Boxes. Just a few weeks ago, they contacted me again. They wanted me to review their latest model the SuperBOX S3 Pro.

I turned them down.

Over the past year, many TROYPOINT followers have been curious about this Android Box distributor. They’ve asked for my thoughts. Below, you’ll find my honest take on the SuperBOX S3 Pro. My review covers all their other models as well.

This review is unlike my other Android TV Box reviews. That’s because I’m not reviewing the box itself. And I don’t need to.

SuperBOX Android TV Box Review – Lifetime IPTV Subscription Included

I’ve made a promise to my readers. I won’t promote or endorse products if I wouldn’t personally recommend or use them. We could make some decent money by advertising this box. But, there’s no chance I can suggest it in good conscience.

The SuperBOX Android TV Boxes have a pre-loaded IPTV service. It features thousands of channels, on-demand movies, and TV shows. This IPTV service is advertised as a lifetime subscription that comes with the device. However, the words “lifetime” and “IPTV” simply shouldn’t be used in the same sentence.

SuperBOX S3 Pro

At the time of this writing, the SuperBOX S3 Pro is on sale. The discounted price is $329.00. Is this a joke? It really should be.

There’s really nothing remarkable about this Android TV Box. It’s a pretty standard device. Essentially, you’re paying for an unverified IPTV service pre-loaded on the box.

We label it as “unverified” for a reason. It’s tough for us to confirm whether their IPTV provider has the correct licensing. We’ll explore the legal aspects of this box a bit later in this article.

SuperBOX claims to offer a 1-year warranty, yet certain questions arise: What if the IPTV service stops working after the first year? What if SuperBOX is caught selling illegal Android TV Boxes and forced to shut down? What happens then?

You might notice that the SuperBOX Website doesn’t explicitly mention the IPTV service that’s pre-installed. Instead, they leave the promotion to their affiliates. It’s these affiliates who are pushing the device. If you do a Google search for SuperBOX, you’ll come across tons of websites selling these Android TV Boxes. It’s readily available on the Walmart Website and Amazon as well.

Now, let’s delve into the specifications of the new SuperBOX S3 Pro.

SuperBOX S3 Pro Specs

The specs below show that there’s nothing out of the ordinary about this Android TV Box. It’s just a basic model. You can snag a comparable device on Amazon for a mere $30-$50.

Is SuperBOX Legal?

In the US, selling Android TV Boxes pre-loaded with certain apps or IPTV services is illegal. This applies if they lack proper licensing. In the past, some manufacturers have faced legal action. TorrentFreak reported that Dragon Box had to shell out $14.5 million. This was for piracy damages to the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE).

When TROYPOINT discusses IPTV, we often use the term “unverified” for services that raise red flags. We use it because it’s difficult to ascertain if those services actually have the necessary licenses.

Therefore, we’ll keep referring to the SuperBOX IPTV service as “unverified.” This is because they haven’t been sued or shut down yet, at least not as of this writing. If you visit the Review section on the SuperBOX website, you’ll see something interesting. Some showcased YouTube reviews have been taken down. The message reads, “This video is unavailable.” It’s likely that these removals were initiated by ACE or a related copyright group.

You might be wondering why platforms like Amazon and Walmart allow this product on their sites. The simple answer is they might not be fully aware of the questionable IPTV service bundled with the box. Once again, SuperBOX relies on its affiliates to handle the less savory aspects of their business. This includes certain YouTube reviewers and other promotional avenues.

When SuperBOX reached out to me about promoting their Android TV Boxes, I frequently responded by inquiring about the legality of their IPTV service. I never received a response.

If SuperBOX happens to see this post and wishes to reply with an official statement, you are welcome to do so through our contact form. I would be happy to publish it here on this review page.

**Update 12/23/2021**

Yes, I plan to keep my promise above and allow SuperBOX to reply.

Will from SuperBOX provided the following reply regarding this review.

Hi, this is Will from SuperBox. I’m flattered that you could take the time to write an article for us, but I believe you only know a little about SuperBox.
1. We’ve been around for almost 3 years, and not a single customer has mentioned their service being down.
2. Our specs aren’t the highest, but they are sufficient for streaming. Our technical team works hard to ensure the hardware and service are well-matched, and I don’t think specs are everything. No one else can support IPTV voice search like our S3 Pro.
3. We maintain a low profile on the website because our priority is upholding our service commitment of lifetime service. Even when we’ve been targeted, we’ve always had backups in place for customers.

My response to the message above is this: “What happens if you get shut down? How will you continue to offer lifetime subscriptions?”

## Alternatives

TROYPOINT recommends buying a reputable Android-based streaming device like the Fire TV Stick 4K Max.

If you’re looking into using an IPTV service, I suggest installing it on your own. It’s a straightforward process that can save you a lot of money over time.

I advise against getting locked into a single IPTV provider by buying this box. What if it doesn’t meet your needs?

When you buy and set up your own IPTV service, you have the flexibility to switch to another service quickly if your current provider gets shut down or doesn’t work out.

Here’s a list of the Best IPTV Services available today. You’ll notice that we include both legal and ‘unverified’ services in our rankings.

Best IPTV Services

## Summary

I highly recommend steering clear of SuperBOX Android TV Boxes or any box that comes pre-loaded with an IPTV service. This is critical advice for everyone.

Due to legal issues, they probably won’t last long. Buyers will be left with a generic Android Box that they could have purchased for $30.

As we consistently emphasize, when it comes to cord-cutting, it’s essential to learn how to handle things yourself.

**I rate the new SuperBOX S3 Pro 1 star out of 5**
