According to an official press release from ACE, the copyright organization seized and shut down four domains.
These included:
- Yalla-Shoot-7sry.com
- yalla-shoot.us
- yallashoot-news.com
- Goalarab.com
Currently, if you try to visit these websites, you’ll be greeted with the image below.
YallaShoot was a widely-used sports streaming website. It was a favorite among millions of cord-cutters globally.
ACE’s press release indicated that YallaShoot was an illegal piracy operation. It was based in Egypt and had over a million visitors in May 2022 alone.
Goalarab is another familiar name when it comes to pirate streaming sites in the region, It also attracted millions of visitors.
According to ACE, these were some of the most popular pirate live sports streaming websites. They were particularly popular in Arabic-speaking areas.
Here’s what ACE’s Executive Vice President, Jan van Voorn, had to say about the situation:
“This successful action against these four illegal piracy operations highlights something important. It showcases the real-world value of the partnership between beIN and ACE. By working together, we can effectively combat the significant threat that piracy presents to media companies worldwide. We also have the necessary tools to protect the legal marketplace for content creators.”
