A fake TROYPOINT IPTV site has recently appeared online. It seems it was made by the folks behind BestBuyIPTV.
We just put out a report about BestBuyIPTV scamming people and lifting IDs. Now, TROYPOINT is facing something similar.
Over the last several days, we’ve had a bunch of questions. People want to know if this TROYPOINT IPTV website is legit and connected to us.
Nope, it’s not!
TROYPOINT has never offered IPTV services. We will not be doing so in the future either. Our website focuses on tech stuff. We share tutorials, news, and reviews – especially for cord-cutters.
When we first heard that BestBuyIPTV had made a TROYPOINT IPTV site, we reached out to them. Here’s the message we sent.
BestBuyIPTV got back to us with the following.
They said they were just ‘borrowing’ the TROYPOINT name. This is despite the fact that we don’t actually offer any IPTV services. It’s pretty strange.
They initially shut down the troypointiptv.net site after that email. However, it’s back up now. It looks like they also changed the email address listed on the site.
Before we sent them a cease and desist letter, their contact email was [email protected]. You could find this in the top right corner of the site.
Now, they’ve switched it to [email protected].
We’re not the only ones they’re messing with. Just take a look at their Trust Pilot rating – a shining 2.4. That should tell you something.
Steer clear of TROYPOINT IPTV dot Net. It’s not associated with us. And if you’re using BestBuyIPTV, you should probably cut ties. Who knows what they’ll do next?
