According to a report by TorrentFreak, UK Police will be conducting home visits to subscribers who have been using an unauthorized IPTV Subscription Service.

Over 1,000 subscribers are expected to receive either a cease and desist notice via mail or in person as revealed in a press release from FACT, an Anti-Piracy coalition in the UK.

This month, more than 1,000 individuals who used illegal streaming services will be visited by FACT and the police. These individuals were likely identified following recent raids conducted by West Mercia Police.

The illegal service offered modified streaming boxes, Firesticks, and subscriptions, with those targeted identified as users through administrative records.

While the operator of the illegal service faces potential criminal prosecution, authorities are emphasizing the seriousness of using illegal streaming services in the eyes of the law.

Individuals targeted were discovered through administrative records found during a raid on an illegal IPTV provider.

There was also a reference to a previous case where two individuals received sentences for accessing unauthorized streams.

In 2021, Paul Faulkner and Stephen Millington were sentenced to a total of 16 months in prison for viewing unauthorized streams.

It’s worth noting that these individuals were not just convicted for viewing unauthorized content, but also for making revenue through various streaming platforms.

Previously, IPTV Users in other regions like Italy have faced potential fines and legal proceedings.

While all subscribers of the unauthorized IPTV service will be warned by authorities, not all will receive home visits, with some being notified via email instead. The UK is evidently taking steps to combat the use of unauthorized services.

TROYPOINT strongly recommends using payment methods like Bitcoin or Abine Blur for unverified providers, along with a VPN to ensure anonymity and privacy.

To avoid streaming illegal copyrighted content, consider using a Legal IPTV Service such as Vidgo.

Vidgo offers a wide range of features including over 150 channels, VOD Content, DVR capabilities, and more.
