This X-Chair review comes from Troy. He used the X-Chair regularly for six months.
You might have encountered the stylish ads for X-Chair. Their tagline, featured prominently on their homepage, is quite something.
WHERE COMFORT MEETS LUXURY – All X-Chairs are designed with 10 ergonomic features and hand-selected premium fabrics. They offer an array of colors to fit your unique office style.
X-Chair TV Ad
X-Chair’s marketing is impressive. It can really convince you that their product is top-notch.
But here’s a thought. They might want to be a little more cautious about using the word “Luxury”.
This is probably going to be the shortest review I’ve ever written.
X-Chair Review
Six months ago, X-Chair contacted me. They wanted to know if I’d be interested in a partnership. Specifically, they asked about joining their affiliate program.
I decided to give it a try. I needed a new chair for my computer desk anyway. Plus, I’d seen a bunch of their ads on TV.
I bought the X² K-Sport Mgmt Chair myself. It cost $950. I often choose not to accept free products. I like to experience the purchase and delivery processes firsthand. This is especially true for something this pricey. Looking back, I’m glad I did that with X-Chair. You’ll find out why shortly!
The chair arrived, and I ran into problems almost immediately.
The lever that adjusts the chair’s height broke. It happened after only two days of use. A lot of the chair is constructed from cheap plastic, which I suspect is the root cause of this issue. The only part that isn’t plastic is the base.
I got in touch with their support team. After a lengthy exchange of ten emails, they finally agreed to send a replacement. It took a whole two weeks for the new part to arrive! The customer service was terrible, especially considering the chair’s near-$1,000 price tag.
Here’s another really irritating thing about the chair. The height adjustment doesn’t hold its position very well. I find myself having to readjust it every day.
Yesterday was the final straw.
I was pushing off the armrests to get up, and one of them just snapped off.
I disassembled it to see if I could fix it. However, the screws had stripped the plastic, making a repair practically impossible.
X-Chair Final Thoughts
My advice? Steer clear of this plastic disaster!
I found a chair at Walmart for under $100. It’s actually comfier than the X-Chair, and it’s never had a single thing break on it.
I’m giving X-Chair a 1-star rating out of 5.
